We're back with another dance off! We decided to extend our dancing series "People Dance to..." to different demographics of people. This time, Word on the Curb sourced OLDER people from all around the UK, of various backgrounds to dance to one of the world's most popular genres - Hip Hop. Even more specifically from the West Coast of America. Headed up by stars such as YG, G-Eazy, Kendrick Lamar & the late Nipsey Hussle - West Coast Hip Hop has been at the forefront of American rap music for decades. With funk inspired sounds, the genre was particularly prominent during the 90s Gangster Funk era - known for smooth instrumentals and rhymes produced by the likes of Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre & Nate Dogg. This time, we got Grandparents to Dance to Blueface's hit 'Thotiana.' We thought it would be particularly interesting to see how older people, from a completely different generation and time might respond to one of the most definitive musical sounds.
